Joey enjoys helping and caring about other people. Therefore, he went to medical university when he was in China, and he had worked in disease control and prevention area for several years after graduating. In order to go back to the health science industry in Canada as a new immigrant, he chose massage therapy as his career.

As an RMT, he has a strong incentive to help clients to address their issues, live better lives, and improve their well-being. To achieve these goals, Joey uses a wide range of modalities(techniques) he learned during the 2-year RMT program at Langara College, such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, joint mobilization, myofascial release, trigger point release, neuromuscular therapy, proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation, post isometric relaxation, and muscle energy techniques.

At Langara College, Joey did research (case study) on Massage Techniques on Improving Forward Head Posture. He has an abundance of experience in treating back, shoulders and neck pain caused by postural imbalance, prolonged sitting or standing.

Outside of work, Joey is a huge fan of tennis. He enjoys tennis whenever he has a chance to play. Joey was the champion of 2017 Vancouver International Pride tennis tournament (C group Men’s single). He also enjoys going on hikes during free time as well.
