Ultrasound therapy can help a wide range of conditions, including inflammation and sports-related injuries of the muscles, tendons and ligaments. Ultrasound has been shown to increase tissue relaxation, improve local blood flow and encourage scar tissue breakdown. The effect of the increase in local blood flow can be used to help reduce local swelling and chronic inflammation.
Laser therapy uses light energy to increase the body’s natural healing mechanisms and aids in decreasing inflammation.
Electrotherapy merges various electricity–based treatment techniques and works by reducing inflammation and accelerating healing in the affected area of the body.
Can anyone have ultrasound therapy?
